By accessing and using the APT Intelligence Directory website and services (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Use of Content
The APT Intelligence Directory provides threat intelligence, research profiles, and analytical content for educational, research, and awareness purposes. You may:
- Access and read materials for personal, educational, or research purposes
- Cite our publications with proper attribution to the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity (ICIC)
- Share links to our publicly available content
- Use content for defensive cybersecurity purposes within your organization
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit APT Intelligence Directory content without explicit permission
- Misrepresent the source or authorship of our publications
- Use our content for unlawful purposes, including facilitating cyberattacks or malicious activities
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our analytical frameworks or methodologies
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Platform without authorization
- Modify, translate, or create derivative works based on our content without permission
4. Intellectual Property
All content, frameworks, methodologies, and intellectual property on the APT Intelligence Directory remain the exclusive property of the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity unless otherwise noted. This includes:
- ARCS (Adversary Risk & Capability Scoring) framework
- ARCF (Adversary Risk & Compliance Framework)
- OmniSynth analytical methodology
- V-Framework visual analytics system
- Superior APT & Hacker Group Profiling System
- All threat profiles, research papers, and publications
Unauthorized use of these intellectual properties is prohibited and may result in legal action.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
ICIC content is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The APT Intelligence Directory content:
- Does not constitute operational, legal, or security advice
- Is based on publicly available information and internal analytical frameworks as of the time of writing
- May contain provisional assessments or preliminary findings subject to revision
- Does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information
ICIC does not accept liability for decisions made based on this material. You assume full responsibility for any actions taken based on the information provided. ICIC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall ICIC, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any damages whatsoever, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunity
- Loss of data or information
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Damages arising from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
This limitation applies regardless of the form of action or the basis of the claim, even if ICIC has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform in any manner that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Infringes upon the rights of others
- Facilitates cyberattacks, malware distribution, or other malicious activities
- Constitutes harassment, abuse, or threatening behavior
- Disrupts the normal operation of the Platform
- Attempts to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its systems
8. Modification of Terms
ICIC reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of revised terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal and state courts located in the United States for resolution of any disputes.
10. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Use is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
